Community Connection
Actions that require stepping into shared spaces and building relationships.
- Community Gardening: The literal “Common or Communal Ground” for tactile connection to soil and neighbors; reclaiming local land for collective health, stewardship and friendship.
- Potlucks + Block Parties: Come together as a neighborhood for no other reason than to get to know each other and have fun.
- The Literacy of Change (Book Clubs): Creating a shared space to process difficult or “forgotten” histories (immigration, systemic caste systems, nutrition) through diverse authors and topics that cultivate joy and reflection about our universal human experience.
- Skill-Sharing & Tutoring: Offering your specific professional or creative expertise as a resource to those in your community who lack access to it.
- Active Presence (Volunteering): Consistent service at hospitals, soup kitchens, or as a “friendly visitor” for the isolated, moving from empathy to physical support.
