Welcome to The Oasis

As an Oasis Member, you have access to an evolving library filled with: 
  • Guided Instructional Videos – this includes lessons in:
    • yoga asana – from vigorous flows to powerful slow moving sequences  to gentle movement to restorative stillness
    • pranayama – breath work techniques to help improve your mental, physical and emotional health 
    • mobility practices – movement snacks that focus on lengthening and strengthening your muscles at the same time using your active range of motion
    • pre or post workout add-ons – 5 to 15 minute warm-ups and cooldowns to either prepare your body for strength training or to bring your body into balance after a strong workout
    • somatic exercises – slow, repetitive, gentle and conscious movements with the primary intentions to increase internal awareness, calm your nervous system and reduce stress
    • meditation – still or moving mind-body practices of awareness and observation using your breath, a mantra, a visualization or sound
    • daily rituals to support a mindful lifestyle
    • and lots more
  • Points of Inquiry for Self-Reflection – think guided journaling with intention
  • Prompts to Spark Community Conversations – so you can articulate what matters most to you while welcoming and engaging with diverse perspectives

Collectively, these instructional videos, resources and tools are here to support your ability to slow down, get grounded, be your most joyful self and stay human in a world that often asks you to disconnect from your feelings for the sake of robotlike productivity. 

To say it another way, the entirety of The Oasis is here to support your authenticity over your performance. It’s a place for the honest work of showing up for yourself so you can focus on what makes you your best and happiest self – whether that’s a workout, yoga asana, breath work, guided meditation, general mindfulness practices or community connection. 

 

How it works:

Membership to The Oasis is free for the first seven days and then is available at a monthly or annual rate – you get to choose which option works best for you. Members also enjoy discounts on private classes, workshops, trainings, events and retreats.

Access to The Common Ground (manifestation resources) is always free for everyone.

 

The Oasis Library is organized by the following Five Elements:

  1. Movement
  2. Modulation
  3. Meditation
  4. Mindfulness
  5. Manifestation (also called The Common Ground)

 

Each element has a Natural Totem: 

  1. Your Living River (movement)
  2. Your Rising Wind (modulation)
  3. Your Deep Well (meditation)
  4. Your Fertile Soil (mindfulness)
  5. Your Rooted Action (manifestation)

These totems embody your connection to the earth and the existence of something that unites us universally.

MOVEMENT—Your Living River

Through MOVEMENT, you can maintain the physical freedom and strength of your body—keeping it capable, mobile and resilient for the long haul. Movement can also help clear stagnation when your thoughts are playing on repeat and rumination takes over. 

MOVEMENT practices in The Oasis library include vigorous and gentle vinyasa and hatha yoga classes, a variety of somatic exercises, mobility sessions to complement your strength training or cardio workouts, HIIT routines to get your blood pumping and other guided lessons to support your physical freedom, strength + longevity. 

MOVEMENT  is your living river – sometimes rapidly flowing, sometimes quietly glistening under the sun or moonlight – always in service of your balanced energy.

MODULATION – Your Rising Wind

Through MODULATION you can train your nervous system to stay steady in moments of stress. Mastery over your stress response allows you to move from reactive to responsive so that your needs don’t get lost in the heat of a moment. 

MODULATION practices in The Oasis library include breathwork (pranayama) and sound baths to calm, invigorate and balance your nervous system response as needed.

MODULATION is your rising wind that allows you to tune and regulate your internal response to your external environment.

MEDITATION – Your Deep Well

Through MEDITATION you can engage your mind to cultivate your ability to witness and focus in order to create a buffer between your thoughts and your actions. 

MEDITATION practices in The Oasis library include both still and moving meditations, practices utilizing mantra, visual focal points, internalized visualizations as well as the traditional practice of Yoga Nidra – Yogic Sleep. 

MEDITATION is your deep well that allows you to concentrate and observe instead of reacting impulsively.

Through MINDFULNESS you can find joy in life’s daily tasks and simple moments to keep you anchored in the present moment.

MINDFULNESS practices in The Oasis library include prompts for journaling, tips for scheduling silent or media-free time on your calendar, how to’s for creating an altar or sacred space in your home or workplace and ideas for establishing daily rituals. 

MINDFULNESS is your fertile soil for finding joy in your everyday toil and mundane moments.

MANIFESTATION – Your Rooted Action

Through MANIFESTATION your internal stability serves as the foundation for action that is meaningful to you. This is where you get to apply your inner peace towards external impact. No step is small or insignificant. Every action you take is potent and has the potential to make an impact. We call this section of The Oasis “The Common Ground” because these resources are accessible to everyone even if you decide not to become an Oasis member. This is our gift to whoever is interested in building and maintaining community and taking action because we think our biggest strength in creating a world that supports us all is rooted in connection and action. So we want to make connecting and taking action easier. Slowly and steadily we are building our library of free resources from small acts of kindness to larger organizing efforts. 

 MANIFESTATION practices in The Oasis library include (but are not limited to) joining or starting a community garden or book club, expressing your gratitude to someone, writing or calling or lobbying your local government about an issue that is important to you, participating  in peaceful protests and sharing resources or volunteering for a local organization to support what matters to you. 

MANIFESTATION is your rooted action to connect your “me” to the collective “we.” Whether you are creating something new or participating in an existing program or project, science supports that when we act altruistically, we can reap health benefits such as increased happiness, feeling less stress, experiencing less pain and even enjoying a longer lifespan.
