About Sharon
Since 2008, I have been dedicated to sharing the joy and strength of yoga. I am a 500-hour experienced certified yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) and formerly a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT). My vinyasa classes are a dynamic blend of progressive sequencing, breathwork, meditation, and functional movement designed to nourish your body and mind.
In 2024, I co-hosted a yoga podcast called Peace, Planks + Prana dedicated to the yoga experience as a student, teacher, or anyone curious about exploring a practice that connects your body, breath, and mind. – episodes are still available on YouTube, Spotify + Apple.
My main passion is creating and hosting weeklong experiences that combine yoga, culture, nature + community connection while exploring the corners of the world. I hope you can join me on one or many adventures.

Moving to Catania
In September 2019 I moved to Catania – a lively city on the island of Sicily in the southernmost part of Italy. Since then, I spent a year as the Yoga Director designing and leading yoga classes at a Vegan Hotel in the Dolomites – located in a breathtaking World UNESCO Heritage Site in Alto Adige, one of Italy’s northern most regions, where I had the opportunity to meet students from all around the world and share the practice of yoga. I currently teach public and private yoga, movement + meditation classes in Sicily, throughout the globe and virtually.
Host of The Oasis
When I moved to Sicily, I thought I was going there to teach. It turns out, I went there to learn.
One thing the landscape here has taught me, and in particular the olive trees, is that the deepest roots grow in the quietest times. I’ve spent the last 20 years in California and the last several in Sicily exploring what it means to stay grounded when the world gets loud. That ongoing journey has led me to build The Oasis. It’s an eclectic practice library designed to help us stay human in a world that expects us to detach from our emotions and perform like robots.
I spent the better part of the last year struggling with the ‘technical’ side of my vision, feeling like I was losing momentum. But lately, I’ve realized that the ‘delay’ was actually just a season of shedding what didn’t serve the vision.
It’s why I’ve named my new project The Oasis. It’s not a virtual yoga studio or a gamified fitness app trying to get you to engage with its latest challenge; it’s a library of the practices that helped and continue to help me stay ‘me’ during the messy transitions.
I organized The Oasis library around five practical elements that spoke to me: Movement, Modulation, Meditation, Mindfulness, and Manifestation. It’s my hope that these varied practices help you build a foundation that won’t crack when life gets heavy.
The final element of The Oasis, Manifestation, is perhaps the most meaningful piece that I have had difficulty articulating in my years as a teacher, facilitator and trainer. It’s the bridge from filling our own cup and cultivating our internal peace to sharing our energy and connecting to our community to have an external impact on the world.
